Dear Friend of Jewish Family Service,

Thanks to the financial support of individuals like you, this year, Jewish Family Service has successfully provided high quality, comprehensive services to over 6,000 people in the Greater New Orleans community.

To give you a sense of the work we do, in the last 12 months:

* 712 individuals received Lifeline service

* 67 older adults received 2,723 hours of Homemaker service

* 455 people were provided with psychotherapy

* 212 people received case management services

* 23 financially strapped households received $21,214.00 to help with food, rent and utilities

* 5,383 students participated in our Teen Suicide Prevention Program

* 250 Community Nursing clients received a free health screening

* Over 1,000 books were distributed to at-risk students in New Orleans

This is just some of what we do. Our success relies on our highly trained and dedicated staff, a committed and involved board, and the financial support of the community.

What more can JFS do?

There is an increasing need for the services that JFS provides to our community.  Our challenge as an agency continues to be meeting the growing needs of our community.  In order to provide services at our current level, it is crucial that we receive your continued support. In 2011 we plan to:

* Go into more schools to teach the Teen Life Counts curriculum.

* Run a weekly parenting group, offering tools, tips, and information to parents of young children.

* Reach 600 psychotherapy clients annually.

* Provide 10 interest-free loans to help people meet a specific challenge.

What can YOU do?

Please make a financial investment in our efforts.  We need your financial support to do what we do, and to do more.

With your donation of:

* $100 or more, an elderly couple can receive 2 months of AutoAlert Lifeline Service.

* $250 or more, our homemakers can make 7 weekly visits, helping older adults and people with disabilities with tasks of daily living.

* $500 or more, individuals, couples, and families can receive 6 sessions of guidance and psychotherapy.

* $1,000 or more, a family of 4 can receive rental assistance, allowing them to stay in their home, avoiding eviction or loss of utilities.
